  • JBL Control 2p (wasp nest division)

Got one of these JBL Control 2p powered monitor speakers and would like a schematic.
The lights are on but there's no one home.
Actually the "occupants" are all dead.
Opened it up to discover a mud (brick?) home with wasp carcasses inside.

It appears "mother" entered through the lower xlr/6.5 jack connection , well the
jack hole just enough room and also just enough to squeeze between the base of the socket and the pcb.
Seems like after building the nest something happened .. hole blocked with mud or wasps grew too big to exit.
Anyway it doesn't work , and the mud just adds to the blooby goop that JBL had to use!

A schematic would be useful as maybe I can figure out why wasp access to the pre-amp caused it to fail.
Both L+R amps (mounted in the front speaker cavity) are silent although I can hear a promising click through the h/phone socket .
    Thank you in advance!
(and no Mr Smart Alec it doesn't buzz!!)

Not exactly a schematic, but armed with this you might check a local JBL dealer for pricing on a replacement amp (or other parts). Sometimes they can be surprisingly cheap (or not)

      +1 for no buzzing
Experience is something you get, just after you really needed it.
