  • Schematic request for Samson EXL 250M

    Hi there,

I currently have this powered mixer on my bench with an intermittent PS fault. Anyone out there have a full service manual or set of schematics for the above please? I have a pdf of schematics that I got from a tech, but the problem is it's missing half of the secondary SMPS and that's where the fault lies. I have even tried to request access to schematic directly with Samson but can't even send the request due to server error.
Any help you could throw my way will be gratefully appreciated thanks.
    Kindest regards,

    Trevor

I have the EX250, but not the EXL. The EX250 has a linear power supply with transformer.

Service manual? Tee hee. All there are is schematics. I was a Samson service center for years, and that is all we got.

If you cannot reach Samson, try reaching the distibutor of Samson in NZ/Oz. They MIGHT be able to help.

My experience with SMPS leads me to believe the majority of secondary side failures is shorted rectifiers and then bad caps. Occasional cracked solder on the large coils. In fact that is the first place I look.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Is this the page you are trying to request from? There is a phone # listed:
      Samson Corporation

Hi, I was just wondering if you could help me, I just picked up a EX250 second hand (it might have been passed more than that) and noticed no sound comming out from it, I removed the amp and noticed all the connectors was disconnected and some Caps blown. I can maybe replaced them as I can read the vaules of the caps, but I do not know the correct "layout" of what connectors or to witch connectors. Thanks
