Yep, the schematics seem to not be flowing. I contacted the current Ampeg owner - Yamaha - and they flatly refused to send the schematic. Not altogether surprising. I saw that back in 2018, a member was PMing them, worth a shot.
Thanks also for the helpful tips, but I'm not trying to hack the circuit or correct issues with the amp/speaker configuration. Certainly not trying to make it "louder". Rather, I wanted to see where they were doing frequency contouring-wise and engineering it correctly if they did something I disagree with. Out of the box, they are rolling off the bass - I'd imagine in the preamp - at 40Hz, meaning the -3dB point appears around there. That has two inherent problems: doesn't do much for 5 string basses, but more importantly for me, it introduces phase shift right at the meat of the bass frequencies. Seeing if I can correct an otherwise decent practice amp. YMMV.
