    The Heathkit IG-82 that I a looking for the manual is tube. There used to be free Heathkit manuals all over the net but they are being taken down.

      I realized about a day and a half after you started this thread that I misread it. im still in the denial stage of my vision going to total shit compared to what it used to be
      If I have a 50% chance of guessing the right answer, I guess wrong 80% of the time.

        I did get to storage, and I indeed have a Heath IG-82, it is now in my car. As I recall, it wanted to function, but instead of steady oscillation, it wants to motorboat. Good for parts or overhaul and repair.

        Also a Heath IG-72, that pretty much works, probably needs fresh caps.
        Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
