  • Alesis SR 18

Anybody here on the forum have a schematic for this....The volume pot is bad...problem is that it has 4 pins instead of 3......apparently Alesis has been bought out by Behringer and of course info is not available through the normal channels....any help is greatly appreciated.......and on a side note, retirement is great.......

If anyone has the original she does. When Alesis went out of business she got all the parts that were being to the dump. Alesis owed me well over $100,000 in repairs and I had well over that in their repaired stock in my warehouse and like an idiot I shipped it all back so it could be used to help cover some of the stiffed accounts who were left with nothing. For the last 18 months of their operation I was doing all the factory work, pallets every day of ADATS, M20s, keyboards, everything they made since they closed the factory repair operation and contracted with me since we were a lot more efficient and had a larger facility and more techs. I used to have the part you are looking for but that was 15 years ago when I moved out of the country.
soldering stuff that's broken, breaking stuff that works, Yeah!

        Volume pot?
        That unit is all digital.
If you are refering to the 'Value/ Tempo' control that would more than likely be an encoder.

No..the volume control...it is located at the back of the unit..which is why it is broke as it must have received a knock strong enough to break it......

It has four legs, but do all four have a function? If I throw an extra stool on your stage does that mean you have an extra musician?
