Sugeda, Do you have any experience repairing any of these amps?
The complaint is that it shuts-down within seconds of power up. I am guessing that the output FETs on one or both channels have shorted causing an over-current, which the psu detects on power-up and shuts down.
usually when FET's blow shorted, they take out their driver. All that is fine so far,easy to repair but I see the FET driver is DIRECTLY connected to a YAMAHA ASIC DSP and if that's gone pop, then it's game over really.
Just wondering if usually the DSP ASIC survives a blown FET driver? That's is the real crux of my question - any help appreciated
