  • Behringer Parts

This is definitely a Hail Mary.

I'm working on a Behringer X32 console for a small production company here in town. I need either a CS5368-CQZ analog to digital converter chip or a complete board Q05-AAQ01-00105. I can't find either in stock anywhere. Everyone has both options backordered. I scoured the web for the chip with no in stock results. I contacted Music Tribe. They told me they don't sell the chip and I have to buy the board. I told them ok, then sell me a board. They said they don't have the board in stock because of a chip shortage. If anyone has either or knows of a source, please chime in. It's not a great situation for Behringer. These mixers are everywhere and requested on many contract riders. If they can't fix them or provide parts support, that's a deal breaker.

Edit: I know this isn't a schematic request, but didn't know where else to put it, ............ so there!

This may be the only option to try that might actually be a true authentic part. The thing about UTsource is that I have ordered many hard to find components from their site and it has turned out good. Plus they have a return policy even on these old used parts...
"3. Utsource certified parts can be returned and refunded unconditionally within 60 days."

Edit: Also just saw this too.

Thanks Gonz. I saw both of those in my previous searches.

The UT Source parts are used parts from China. I'm hesitant to buy used parts in this instance because they are tiny SMD parts not easily replaced. If I go through all the trouble to replace a chip and it turns out to be defective, I've got to start all over again and doing this too many times would add risk of damage to the board. If it were a regular through hole component, I'd have no problem giving it a whirl.

I actually ordered the part from Today Components. They cancelled the order with no explanation. I assume it was because they didn't have them in stock and/or couldn't get them.

Yup I hear all of that and agree. Especially doing the smd soldering and the risk to the board. Seems utsource has 41,000 of these chips but at $41+ they aren’t flying off the shelf. Hope you find a good replacement part Dude.
