  • Peavey Deuce II 220 Schematic?

    Hey Folks

I have yet to find a matching schematic for my Series 220 Deuce II. I am focused on the power supply section to try and find a matching schematic.

My amp has "no" Standby switch.

    It has a 4 section cap can (40, 40, 20, 20) and (2) 100/350V inside the chassis.

    Thank you!

I can't find a schematic that matches this amp, but this is the closest I can find (has odd standby switch config). Are the can caps paralleled to get to the 60 and 40uF values in this schem? The other schematics I see have 4x100uF caps.

. It is odd to me that there were so many variations of the Deuce, but I only think of the VTs. Searching for schematics led me to many posts in various forums from Enzo, so that was a nice little memory trip.

Yes the filter caps have the following arrangement.

1st node 100 in series with (40 and 20 in parallel)
      2nd node 100 in series with 40

Thanks for the schematic. Best example so far.

So odd that they went from the 4x100uF PCB mounted axial caps in the Deuce A and B and then to the mix of PCB mount and can cap is this and then went back to 4x100uF in later versions. I wonder if they were having trouble with the 350V rated caps in earlier versions that they then went to mix of 500V and 350V. Seems like the can cap would definitely add some cost and complexity vs the PCB only approach.
