  • Hotmod V2 schematic

Hi, first post - hopefully it’s in the correct area.
I drew up a quick schematic of the Legendary Tones Hotmod V2 if anyone’s interested. It’s the first edition without the bass switch.
I’d be curious to see inside the newer versions, especially the Mr scary and Lynch mod models.
Anyone care to pull theirs apart and trace it out/take some pics ?

For those who are unfamiliar with these units, they replace the cathode follower tube in a typical classic Marshall circuit, adding one extra triode gain stage.
The original ones used a 6C10 or 6K11 compactron on an adapter socket.
One of the tubes in the schematic above (T1?) would be out of circuit and replaced by the other 2.

luciferschild , I think there may be a few errors in the drawing? Some parts exist in the amp already (R1 etc.) I think, and T1 pin 7 needs to go somewhere.

Pin 7 is your signal in from the prior gain stage. I’ve built it to this schematic and it works.

I assume the T1 12AX7 is imaginary, ie its pins represent the connections to V2 of the host Marshall?
