My name is Tom and I a newbie here. I have a Kustom PA40 vintage mixer amplifier that needs to have the four power transistors replaced and i cannot find any transistors that match any numbers on them. I know that at least two of the four are defective. The unit will overheat after being turned on for about 5 minutes. I am in need of the transistors or at least the numbers. I also am looking for a schematic for the pc board which has the numbers 0575-109895 embossed on the pc board. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. I know that Kustom was bought by Hansen and they advised me they have very few schematics from the Chanute location. please Help.

I have doubts the transistors are bad. You'd most likely be blowing fuses if you had shorted outputs. That said, you say there are numbers on the transistors. What are they? We might be able to find them for you if we knew what they were."I took a photo of my ohm meter... It didn't help." Enzo 8/20/22

Kustom PA40 is a modern battery powered speaker. Are you sure there is no other model number on the unit?Originally posted by EnzoI have a sign in my shop that says, "Never think up reasons not to check something."

I retrieved the transistors. None of them check a dead short. They operate properly on an ohm meter. the difference is two of them operate identical and the other two operate identical, two different responses. The transistors have the following markings on the cap. They are RCA across the upper part of the label is 7-0000 and across the lower part is an H on the lower left and the number 8141 on the lower right. A schematic would definitely help. Look at the first line in this list. 7-0000 is 2N3055.
