Same here and I have been able to attach files and photos to MEF posts with no issues.

Same for me, no attachment issues with Firefox (w/adblock+, webmail adblocker, facebook blocker, and no script).
I've pretty much disabled IE as much as possible, and installed stuff so I don't get new versions of IE from windows update anymore. So on this vista machine it gets security updates for IE7 but no newer versions.

I just completed a post with three attachments and something has changed. I'm using IE8 with XP BTW. Everything was proceeding as usual, the pics uploaded and the CPU redlined. I killed the process but it didn't die. A message dropped down from the tab for Ampage that I think said that the process had recovered, naturally it faded out before I could read the whole thing (typical Microsoft crap). Then I was able to finish up moving the inline pics around and submit the post.

Somebody fixed something and I wish to thank them. THANK YOU !!!!!

Today I tried to re-post a small pic that had disappeared. I renamed the file because I could still see the old filename in my settings > attachments list. The file uploaded but never showed up in the manage attachments gallery. IE redlined so I killed the process, but it recovered. I tried the same thing two more times, same story except IE gave me a new error message that I had never seem before (see below). When I looked at settings > attachments there were three copies in the file there so I deleted them.

Next I edited the file to change it's size. I cleared out some things from memory and restarted IE. This time the file showed up in the gallery after two attempts and I was able to post. Apparently the filesize problem is still affecting what you can attach.

I just ran across this in the Settings menu. There is an option near the bottom for Enhanced Attachment Uploading. I had mine set to Enabled which brings up the gallery when you upload an attachment. I'm going to try things with that option disabled.

Looks like it worked without a problem. Has Allied gone Spinal tap?

This is an issue with IE 10+. At work we have systems that won't work with anything newer than 9 and forget using 11 with VMWare remote access. Windows 8.x I believe only supports IE10 and higher so there are people SOL out there.

As far as the IE versions goes, you can get a little fix that will prevent windows update from constantly trying to give you the latest.
I have IE disabled and don't use it, but I like keeping windows updated. I was always getting huge updates of the newest IE, and then constant updates for that. I have set back to IE7, and no longer get prompts to IE8 or newer, and only get updates for IE7.
