(sorry mods... I just realized I put this in the wrong area.)
Just got my first tube amp today and I was jamming for about 2 min (a loud 2 min) and the lead channel just quit working (I can still barely hear it when the volume is up, but just very faintly). The clean channel works perfectly. I'm new to tubes, but have done quite a bit of repair on SS amps, so I'd like to give it a go at fixing this thing myself. All the tubes are glowing, so I'm leaning toward a bad solder joint, but I wanted to check with some of you guys to see if there are any "know issues" I should know about while I have the thing torn apart.
Anyway, I'm excited to finally enter the world of tubes and any pointers on information to read about them would be cool.
Thanks,
Caveman
