Avatar sells the Hellatone speakers, that are broke in cellsetions, either g12h30, or broke in v30.
    Avatar Speakers
    $119 free shipping.
There are lots of youtubes of hellatone speakers.
When I listen to the sound comparisons, I always like the celestions and hellatones better than the other brands.
I really like the g12h30s, but they are just 30 watters.
That is what hendrix played a lot of the time.
    **edit
BTW I checked in the back of my Traynor YCS50 2008 amp.
It is an open back 50 watt combo, and It has a regular 8 ohm Celestion Vintage 30.
On a small paper sticker it says made in China.
I thought maybe it being 6 years old it may be a UK speaker, but it's not.
It still sounds great! For one made in china, they are still priced around $145.

How can they break it in and still selling cheaper than Celestion?? I definitely like the Hellatone 60.

There is very few demo on CV-75 in youtube, must be because it's so new.

Avatar sells tons of speaker cabs, and they probably get the celestion/hellatones direct from china.
To sell them, probably the hellatone 15 hour warm up is the angle, or stick they use, to satisfy something legal maybe.
Just a SWAG (Sophisticated Wild Ass Guess)!

That's a good sounding speaker. I think the Hellatone 60 and 30 sound very similar.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6y0KMBxCoA

I definitely like the Hellatone 60 better than the WGS ET65/Retro30 combo.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuWige9d2QM Just skip the first 4 minutes.

On the shootout, I like the Set A, the Hellatones.
They have that Tight British bite I like.
            They have the marshall sound.
I've also noticed I always prefer the speakers with the small cone dust cap.
Don't know what that has to do with it, but they always seem to have a tighter sound?
Maybe the speaker gurus can expound on that.

I just thought of one concern. Yes, I love the V30/Hellatone 60. BUT all the sound demo were from a closed cabinet and are bigger than my JCM900. I don't know whether anyone is familiar with this tiny combo. It is small.

You can see in the picture the cabinet barely fit the 12" and is open back.

My concern is V30 might not have enough bottom in this cabinet. Should I consider the WGS ET65 or Veteran 30 which both have less of the mid heavy and more bottom?

Anyone familiar with Eminence Texas Heat and CV-75?

I emailed Eminence, Anthony suggested CV-75 is closest to V30 and he think Texas Heat should work for my case.

What size is your JCM 900 cabinet? I have a V30 in a 18" x 18" x 12" deep open back cabinet and it has enough bass for me. I think it's the 12" depth that does it. I did have a pair of V30s in a 5F6A size cabinet which was only 9" deep but the small 12" deep single cab sounds better. The bass is more solid.

It's a 19X17X11. That's sounds promising!!! I definitely like the V30 type of sound. I am looking at the WGS Veteran 30 as it is supposed to be followed after V30, it is a little fuller......and the most important thing is it's half the price also. Then the Hellatone 60 for a little more.

Update: I ordered the WGS Veteran 30. After listening to the comparison, I think the WGS is a little more general purpose and a little more modern sounding.

Here is the clip that convinced me:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UW2n8Uv3rDc Skip the first 5 minutes, he has a diarrhea mouth.

The fact it's $69 play a big role in convincing me also.

I think I am going to need another speaker to round up my collection. I am looking at the WGS ET90. Anyone has experience with this?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwwgQw_qXEM

                        -------- It's a beauty!!!!-------

I got the Veteran 30 and 6 hours of humming at 60Hz and 17Vrms

Got it in the Braced Marshall combo and it sounds heavenly!!!! I don't know how much it sounds like a real Marshall Plexi. But between the bracing, EL34 and this speaker, I am liking it. It has bottom that I afraid it might lack, it sounds open and big. I wish I can get at least one more.

It is miles better than the Celestion G12T-75 and G12H-100, the Stock Fender that Eminence said it's a Legend GB128 from the serial number and the Eminence Legent 1275, even a little better than the WGS G12C/S in the KMD.

You guys should give a second look of the WGS, two out of two hitting out of the ball park. I definitely will look at WGS for the next speaker.

I have to emphasize, the bracing is as important as the other two. There is no hint of the boxyness.

I feel both Celestions and both Eminence I have, the sound that kind of choked and do not come out. Both WGS have an open feel, the sound comes out without restriction. The Eminence legend 1275 and the Celestion G12H-100 are the worst.

Both G12C/S and Veteran 30 are kind of mid heavy, the next one I want is going to be slightly scooped mid for a change. Both the Celestion G12T-75 and the Eminence GB128 are scooped mid, and they don't sound bad, it's just not open sounding, it's like something is preventing the sound from fully coming out.

Hi guys, I am in the hunt for another speaker, also for open back type. Don't get me wrong, I love the Vet 30, I just want another one. Some wise person said you love your speaker.....until you hear another one!!!! That already happened to me as I love my WGS G12C/S until I bought the Vet 30!!! I actually like the British sound better even I was die hard in American sound. For some reason, I just don't like the Celestion G12T-75 as much. I am looking for one that is different from both G12C/S and Vet 30.

I was suggested to get the WGS Retro 30, but I afraid it would be too similar to the Vet 30.

                              Thanks

I like the WGS British Lead. I'm not sure how it would sound in an open backed combo though. I'm using it in my 6505+ combo which has a closed back chamber for the speaker, separate from the "head" section where the chassis lives. It's also quite large - the speaker chamber is about 18" high x 24" wide, and 12" deep. It really grinds, though. It sounds much bigger than it did with the stock Sheffield, and the British Lead handles 80 watts. I have an open backed unfinished pine 1x12 I build with an MDF baffle that's 15x15x13 that I might eventually try it out in, if I decide to try something else in the 6505+.
