Picking a PT for 2EL34 build

    The answer is in the original AX84 thread I posted, basically, the PT is way under-sized, so there is a lot of sag, the Aiken plot only shows the static, idling condition and does not reflect what happens under dynamic playing conditions. This "sag" is not done by design but rather cost-cutting on Marshall's part, so you have the company's accountants to thank for the classic rock tone.

      So I can safely order the Weber. I am going to add a 100 ohm 5W resistor in series to create the sag anyway. At 200mA, I will have extra 20V sag!!!
