    Of course.
But IF they are not closely matched (you have what you have) best is to match current through both OT halves "by hand" , placing them as needed so total difference is, say, less than 20mA , and better if possible.

Not because of the tubes but to keep OT from losing inductance and deep Bass.

What´s the point of having the better more expensive OT and then degrade its quality by lazyness?

EDIT: I bet that 6V6 pair roughly matches EL34 current at same bias voltage .

But I play Fenders. I <WANT> to lose deep bass! I declare myself open for business as the only vendor of grossly mismatched tubes, to once and for all cure the Fender Fart, without ever picking up a soldering iron!
      I smell a scam-biz opportunity...

I won't reveal that my parts cost is ZERO, because I will simply use discarded tubes that I get for free, that Mesa players mail to me. I will check them for shorts on my Eico 666 tube tester, and simply plug them in your amp and not adjust anything!

Yes they did. That's why I tried it.

Also the matching will help reduce hum, exactly why the Fender "output tubes matching" pot was adjusted by ear for minimum hum.
