But IF they are not closely matched (you have what you have) best is to match current through both OT halves "by hand" , placing them as needed so total difference is, say, less than 20mA , and better if possible.
Not because of the tubes but to keep OT from losing inductance and deep Bass.
What´s the point of having the better more expensive OT and then degrade its quality by lazyness?
