Building a Princeton Reverb. Power supply has a 4x20uf cap can. Is it better to have the can type or can I run 4 electrolytic axial caps? Does it make a difference or is it a space saver?

Yep the caps in a can is a space saver. Other than that there's no difference if using axial (or even radial) e-capsBuilding a better world (one tube amp at a time)

I don't like can caps personally, I feel like they get too hot all stuffed into that little can filled with tar. I went through 8! Vibro Champs last year and every one needed a replacement $45 can cap. I did it for cosmetic reasons and to resist getting caught up in modifications. But I would prefer individuals if I were in a position where it could go either way.
