Can anyone tell me what size holes are needed in the chassis for 6V6, 12AX7, and 6AV6 tube sockets. I have an opportunity to purchase a conduit knock out punch kit and the seller claims it can be used for tube chassis punch outs.

Be careful there because conduit hole dimensions are different then what the actual conduit diameter is... measure first.
What defaced said. Sometimes for Octal sockets you need 1" diam, sometimes 1&1/16", sometimes 1&1/8", and for noval sockets sometimes you need 7/8", sometimes 3/4".
I've got a range of chassis punches I found in 2nd-hand tool shops (at different times). They make the neatest holes.

Thanks for all the info guys! Bruce was right, that conduit sizes are different than what we use. So you can use the conduit punches.
1/2" conduit size will give you a 7/8" hole
3/4" conduit size will give you a 1-1/8" hole Thanks again, Rayme
