Haven't had any problems with Switchcraft - ever. I get 'em from Conquest only. Is it possible you've been delivered counterfeits? There's fake just about everything out there. Transistors too. Ebay dealers and small time jobbers might not know, or if they do, caveat emptor. If a deal's too good - it possibly isn't.

Switchcrafts issues over the last several years are pretty well documented, a quick Google search will confirm. People were having issues long before I started running into them, some boutique builders gave up on them as well. And when I returned the last of mine, the distributor was dealing with several returns.

Plus, it's so much less hassle to wire up four Cliffs in a traditional setup since all the lugs are lined up.
