I am wanting to size a bleeder resistor for my 5e3 build. Anyone have a sizing recommendation (Ohms/Watts).

220k 2W across the first filter cap is pretty standard for a permanent installation.

I do not have a 220k 2watt resistor handy. Could I get by using a 1M 1/2W Resistor for the bleeder?

Do you have 2 x 470k 1W in parallel. That would be fine as well.Building a better world (one tube amp at a time)
