    No no!!! It's a great PT for your 5F2A build. I meant a pair of 6V6 tubes. Not a single tube in class A. Sorry for that.

        So it's finished. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I did need some help from the local amp guru. I managed to wire the input jack backwards and a couple minor errors.
        I installed a negative feedback switch which uses the standard 22K resistor on on side and an externally adjustable 15 (?) turn 20K VR + a 4.7K on the other.

        Anyway, thanks for all the support and useful information.
