Guess so.
I think all are "thermal pads" :micas, silpads, mylar, anodized aluminum, etc.
Haven't tried it yet, but I think that thin mylar + grease must be good.
Interesting option for a long row of plastic Mosfets compressed by an iron bar (no through screws involved)

Working on one of these beasts again.
I have a question. Should the bias be adjusted to 25mV across 0,47 ohm resistors with the amp cold, or should it be left on for a couple of minutes?
When I bias at cold, I can see the bias drop as the amp heats up.

The SVT 4 pro has a sense transistor up against the heatsink. I basically biased it with the heatsink at room temp, ie from "cold"
Bias for 25mv across one of the source resistors. leaving it for a couple of minutes, it drops to around 17mV.

I just finished doing a complete rebuild of a svt6-pro. It is a bit different than the SVT4 pro. This amp is like 2 SVT3's bridged together and stacked on top of each other.
Problem is that there is no way to access the .45 ohm resistors on the lower amp (+) half with the the board mounted and the heatsink attached.
Does anyone know the best way to set the bias on the lower amp. This is channel A (+) half.
Do I need to use jumpers and measure it upside down outside of the case? Is it safe to measure the bias without the heat sink? This seems risky.
The top section or (-) half is not a problem as the .47 ohm 5W resistors are accessible.
Any advise on testing the bottom section would be greatly appreciated.
