i just moved from the uk to the usa and brought with me my orange tiny terror (hand luggage was cheaper than shipping any of my other amps that now reside with my parents )
i was encouraged when i plugged it in over here to find that the transformers can work with the different power over here, however the amp it's self seems much quieter and the power tubes don't appear to be glowing...which is odd because the amp still drives? it still sounds great, it just seems much quieter...
in the uk i normally just run it through an orange 1x12 cab and over here i've tried it through a 4x10 fender tonemaster cab, a 1x12 jensen sepaker cab i put together, and my bass players ampeg 4x12's 1x15 and a horn (just for gigles)....
is this all just down to the lower voltage through the mains over here, or perhaps the cabs i'm running it through? or should i try switching valves/fuses out? or even replace the transformers?
any help would be appreciated, i just need a quick fix that's cheaper than shipping or acknowledgement that the power is just !
