Everything sounds fine on my twin reverb at half e.q. levels... but if i turn the mid e.q. knob all the way up, it makes a humming noise. it starts after the knob goes past about 7. does this sound like anything in particular that i need to replace?

I was playing with the settings, and I think its more than just the mid control. with different values on the other two tone pots it goes away or comes back, in a pretty random fashion. could it be the filter caps? I think that they are probably old ones that need replaced, but don't know if this is a sign of that

Is this hum like the hum you get when you touch the tip of a guitar cord with your fingers? or is it more like a WOOOO sound? I am asking if the amp is feeding back in some way, which is not the same as what we call hum.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
