I have 70's era Ampeg solid state amp in (can't even tell what model) that needs filter caps. And maybe more, but first things first. The values are 2500uF/90v. Being that it is an odd value, I'm having a hard time finding them at a reasonable price. I wonder who among us would have a problem replacing them with 2200uF/100v that I find at Mouser for about $5/ea?

I wouldn't have the slightest problem doing that. The value difference is roughly 10%, and caps are usually less close than that anyway.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

Ampeg BT-15 (fliptop) with the electroluminescent display?
Schematics are usually on the inside of the chassis cover. I have replaced the PS filter and the output caps with radial aluminum electrolytics from digikey - so you're on the right track with 2200uF/100V.
