Did you clean all of the pots good and not just with tech spray? Could be some DC getting on that AC signal. The other thing would be either something not grounded or something grounded that shouldn't be. Did you rewire it to Fender weaving with those shots Bob offered you and is the Cathode resistor of the 6V6 the stock value along with the bypass cap ?

i never got the inside shots, so i cant say. the cathode resistor (if its the bias resistor) is 840uf or thereabouts. dont know what the "bypass" reisitors are. --could it be something to ground? -maybe. ive been playing it and it seems to have worked itself out. i dont hear it anymore. it ROARS at 7! 4 is about as high as it goes for "clean". ill keep an eye on this forum. very useful place to be!
