  • Behringer ACX1800 Power Amp

    Hi All
Somebody kindly dumped a Behringer ACX1800 in my yard. Powered it up loud hum then smoke.
I got it to pieces and found one of the output IC's blacker than it should be.
Can't find any data on the power board for this amp, schematics part numbers etc.
The power board is an LPA290 PCB625090 RevE and the amp is a 2004 model.
I think the initial problem may have been caused by the previous owner trying to do a diy speaker extension using a bit of choc block and soldering two wires to one of the speakers, coincidently the speaker relative to the fried IC.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated especially schematics or part data.
I have the schematics for the pre-amp fx sections.
    Thanks in advance
    Rae

So what ARE the output ICs? When they are power amp ICs like TDA2050 or LM3886, often as not the problem is just the bad IC itself.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

That is a 90 watt amp so I would expect two LM3886 ic amps in parallel.
