Thatīs a voltage multiplier to get +48V phantom for the active microphones.
Guess you might double capacitance but why?n 220uF x 50V is a very common easy to get value, so just use bthem.
You will NOT improve ripple or whatever since actual 48V are regulated by T17 and associated 47V Zener D53Juan Manuel Fahey
