                  These might work. Just cut off the metal mounting bracket and add some spacer washers.

                    I think those are 16mm pots. May not fit? The image looks like it might be a 12mm pot. Also, mounting brackets can probably be removed without cutting. I think they're just slid onto the pot case crimp pins.

                    But along the same lines...

                    I'm in favor of substitution also. It's just a pot. There are surely 12mm pots in the right values/tapers with a shaft that could be corrected with washers. Looks to be PC pins there. Nearly all pots follow standard pin spacing specs. I'll grant that it's been harder some times than others, but I've retrofitted pots many times to get around some odd, proprietary part.
