Okay just have to check in on this one just in case other members have repaired these. So the two AC secondary wires pulled off the connections to the plug. So I soldered it back again but still no voltage out the power supply. I measured about 3 ohms for the secondaries and a big bad open on the primary.
Which brings me to why I am posting about this. Looking at the schematic it has no secondary fuses. The only fuse is the one that burnt out on primary winding. This is a PA-10B Yamaha power supply and it has 2 prong for AC input. The secondary taps have a center tap so there are three pins out. Now to even test for a thermal fuse I have to first cut the box apart. Then where is the thermal fuse in the winding behind wrap or is it just flapping along in the breeze?
So just deciding to even bother with it but it is for a friend. Also the replacement power supply costs like $40-60. I will post schematic a moment after I post all the text. Easier for me when posting this with my dang phone.
Edit: well for some reason I can’t get the phone to upload right now. So here is the link.
