  • Squier Champ 25GR No Output

This amp uses a uPC1188H as the final output IC. Plenty available online and eBay. I know some replacement ICs can be duds, any known issue with sourcing these?

I have V at the IC and signal at the input, no output signal. As I was trying to get my probe on the pins I noticed that all the pins are loose from the IC housing. If you push down on the circuit board the pins move away from the IC housing. So I assume somehow they all broke away from the housing and the IC needs to be replaced.

Just looking for confirmation. Thank you

    Schematic in service manual attached.

Most of the cheap upc1188 online and on ebay are coming from China and will be fake or modern 'reproductions' that do not meet original specs. Chances are they will work for a while but blow up when pushed.
BD Ent. are a reliable supplier and I would trust these before any of the cheap options: https://www.bdent.com/upc1188h-nec-a...d-circuit.html

edit: these from Ness electronics seem legit as well: https://www.nesselectronics.com/products/eltupc1188h

China order came in. I installed the new one and the amp is working. Are counterfeits bad right away? Hopefully this is a good batch.

The amp must have taken a good hit or fall because all the legs were sheared on the old chip. Also including a pic of the new one installed.

              Thank you all.

Or someone else already troubleshot it to the output ic and cut the pins to check the rest of the circuit?
