    If I'd like to lower the bias of this amp from the 68% PD in its current state, then I would replace the 15k (actually 14k) resistor (the one attached to the bias balance pot) with perhaps a 20k or a 24k one.

    If I want to calculate the wattage required for this resistor, would this be the correct way to do it?

    I measured the voltage drop across the 14k resistor to 49.4V
    So the current should be 49.4 V / 1400 Ohms = 0.035 A
    The power dissipation across that resistor should then be 0.035 x 49.4 = 1.729 W

    So would I be correct in that I would need a 3W resistor?

      14k = 14000R. You used 1400 = 1.4k for calculation.
      Power is Vē/R, so roughly 0.17W.

        Right you are... thanks! And the P=Vē/R​ is faster to use, good point.
