      I recognized from the start that the boost frequency with a 1uf across a 51 ohm resistor would be at a high frequency. But I was still scratching my head when I found this video. Should we assume that all the Conqueror amps with a working "top boost" control are modified???

        Not necessarily. I would assume that it's more likely that this was an oversight or error. There's at least one Defiant (shares the same preamp) out there with a higher value of C25:
