  • Blue Voodoo Mod

Alright, so using a guide from indyguitarist.com I understand how to change the blue voodoo circuit into a circuit similar to the bogner xtc. It's almost identical except with the high pass filters moved around, and also the last stage requires some trace cutting for the cathode follower, so I'm leaving that out.

Since I'm still very new at this, I'de like to tweak the mod to make it more mesa boogie markish, since I love the tone of the mark II c+'s and mark IVs.
Can anyone see an area where I can the mod a blue voodoo to make it match the mark like?

Ok, so here is the mod I came up with. It takes the "lead" section of the Mark IV and places it in the the third and fourth gain stage of the blue voodoo. Any feedback would be largely appreciated!

Mark IV mod (Third and Fourth Gain Stage)

    R17 : 1.6k in parallel with a 2.2 uf cap
    R18: 82k
R19: 68k and .001 uf cap in parallel
    R20: 270k
R21: 3.3k in parallel with .22 uf cap (that is in series with a 22k resistor if possible)
    R22: 270k in parallel with 500pf cap
    C13: .047uf
    R110: 220k in parallel with 250pf
    R84: 100k in parallel with 500pf

My main question is if I can connect a resistor in parallel with a cap that is in series with another resistor.
