best designed single tube reverb

hi everybody,

i'm using merlins new book to help design an amp. great job on the book and the web site btw but he hasn't gotten to rv yet so i'm asking yall to give me your opinion on the best ecc8 x direct drive rv driver/recovery if such a thing exists. i understand everything but impedance and it is extremely irritating.

Have a look at some of teh one-tube reverb circuits over at the Dumble forum. tubenit does quite a few of these in his amps, so it might be worth PM-ing him

Here is an example of 5 different amp where I've used that. I like the way it sounds more than the Fender reverb. I have owned and played Fenders with reverb. This verbs more mids but it is not as intense as the Fender surf sound.

The first 3 photobucket schematics are the amps I currently play/own.

I use a dwell which I usually have set between 5-7 & the reverb pot is usually set between 3-3.5. It has all the reverb I need or want.

It's not my idea, I stole it from the D'Lite guys.

I use a typical Fender replacement trannie and tank like in a Princeton Reverb or Deluxe Reverb.

Yeah that the RT he means (and a type 4 Accutronics tank with an 8R input impedance I suspect). However since you would be running a 1/2 12AX7 into the RT (which has a 15k primary and an 8R secondary), you may want to try a tank with a different input impedance in order to get a better reflected load for the 1/2 12AX7 driver, or use Merlin's idea of a SRPP EEC88 to drive a mid-high input impedance tank directly (i.e.; without an RT)
