Hey!?! I happen to be a big SpongeBob fan! I got started watching it with my little girl (who is now 22). The first two seasons are actually hilarious and on par some really respectable comedy. After that it sort of petered out.

One of my favorite scenes:

SpongeBob (to Squidward, who is known to be crabby): What could be better than spending the day with friends!!!

Squidward: I dunno... Being dead!.. Or ANYTHING else.

Way too bent for children, but funny.
