    To be fair it was leadfoot's idea. But I'll wager that some of the returned volume isn't just gain, but also improved load matching. Good to know.

      Yeah, it's a Mini switch, but a TPDT. I actually had this wired up from years ago just sitting in my box of electronics stuff.

        That wee switch with over 478V on it! I wouldn't. I suppose there's only the differential between the screen and plate volts across it, BUT, there's still 478V there that could short to something in a small switch. There's not even a big enough hole in those solder lugs to actually insert any respectable lead wire that would be in use for that circuit! That's a tip off right there. If you haven't mounted it yet I think you should wait for a better switch before actual installation of the mod. If you HAVE mounted it I think you should replace it soon.
