      Ah, yes. If you measure the ends of that new DC with respect to ground, it will measuere about half. Your center tap, virtual or real, will make the new DC center around ground, even though it is not referenced there directly.

      You have the filter cap, just measure the voltage across that cap.
      Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

        A high value load resistor across the outputs wouldn't hurt.

          OK. After a good night's sleep and measuring correctly, I'm getting 7.88 VDC. Imagine that. The LED's, with 220 ohm resistors, light up nicely. Thanks very much for all the help. I really had the answer all along. Bad, bad weekend with not a lot of sleep makes the brain not work so good.

          I appreciate all the help very much!
