  • Fender Hot Rod Deluxe question

This thing is killing me! It had a loose solder joint on the 2 5w 470 ohm resistors and I replaced a volume and a treble pot. Ok, it powers up fine but slowly dies to this really low volume distorted volume.
    -all tubes are good
-plate is 400v, the thing is perfectly biased at 70% on each side, no fluctuation
-the 5w resistors get really hot and i just ordered some more
-the speaker and connections are fine.
-im going to look for any open resistors today-any ideas? im looking around the 5w resistor circuit
-the OT is 85 ohms and 100 ohms, which is a little odd to be out of balance, but thats where i checked the bias (as well as on the tubes)

Any ideas, nothing else seems to be loose w the chopstick etc. Help!

Not that it really matters much, but when in blue blazes did a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe become a vintage amp?\\You might have better results posting here:
