I have a silverface Deluxe Reverb. On another board, someone once said that the output tranny in a Deluxe Reverb is better suited for 6L6s than 6V6s. I assume what he meant was that the primary impedance of the OT is lower than optimal for a pair of 6V6s, although he didn't state it in those terms.
So, does anyone know the primary impedance of the output transformer in a Deluxe Reverb?
I'm going to stick with 6V6s because I like them. But if the primary impedance of the OT is only around 4k or so using an 8-ohm speaker, then I guess I'd get a little more power if I were to put a 16-ohm speaker in there.
