can i connect 2 combo amps .an old peavey classic vt 212 50 to another combo using the pwr amp out socket of the peavey . seems to work but will i damage the amp

I think there is some loose terminology here.
The only thing I would consider a "power amp out" jack is the one you connect speakers to. You DO NOT want to connect that to anything but a speaker.
However, you can connect any "preamp out" jack to some other "power amp IN" jack, and that is OK.
The terms IN and OUT next to a jack have specific meaning.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
