Gravity never repels anything, isn't that curious.... The more you think about it, the more mysterious it all becomes.

I know :-) I don't know everything about electronics, but my Ph.D. in Literature means I can spot sarcasm at fifty paces.

I'm guilty of doing the same thing myself. I tried once to convince one victim that his amp would only sound its best if he aligned the output transformer properly with respect to true magnetic north. And my grandfather, the engineering professor, was a diabolical practical joker. He once gave me a metal detector for my birthday, and, buried in the yard, we found a container with all sorts of Danger/Toxic/Hazard markings written on it. Ultimately, there was a $20 bill inside. He had buried it there months before as part of his plan.

If you call JP4 aircraft grade fuel "Phlogisto" yes, they burn because they are full of it.
OK, even a 1/4 full wing tank will still make a nice fireball.

First circuits book I ever read said right at the beginning "these formulae only valid for circuits smaller than XY square meters area". I thought that's fine with me if a full stack fits in it. Good enough for tube amps
