Hey y'all,
I have a Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue, which i bought about 6 months ago. Just about a month ago, one of the stock power tubes stopped glowing, and one of the stock preamp tubes started rattling very badly.
I went to the local shop, and bought a new set of 2 6L6s and 3 12AX7s, and popped them in.
I realized i didnt have enough money to get the amp biased for the new tubes, so i figured i would just use them until i got the money. So my question is, since id heard that blues deluxes have a fixed bias, Do I need to bias my blues deluxe for the new tubes?
also, Ive looked online at torres.com, and they have a kit to install a bias pot on a blues deluxe. If i install this pot, what other equipment do i need to bias my amp (if needed)?
any help would be greatly appreciated,
Kemp
