i bought emg h1a humbucking passive pickups, and i would like to wire them so that i have 1 tone 1 volume, 3way switch, and that the tone pot is a push/pull so that i can coil tap it.

EMG uses the same color codes as DiMarzio, so you can use this as a guide:

Free information : DiMarzio Humbucking Pickups at Stewart-MacDonald

Yu want the "coil cut" switch. "Tapping" is something different.

Here's the EMG instructions, but they don't tell how to switch the pickup to single coil:

All you have to do is switch the black/white wires to either ground or hot, depending on which coil you want to cut.
It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein
