Here's a little humorous example of how good intentions don't guarantee good results, and why I think the review parameters are way too vague.
Last year a customer bought some of my earlier PAF attempts and said they really took him back to the early 70's and really loved 'em. He said hey my son is a professional player and is going into the studio soon to record with your pickups. He'll be recording with a vintage JTM45 or some similar dream amp. I said yeah man I need some pro player samples to highlight the set, it'd be great if you could do that. Sounds like a dream scenario right, pro touring player, studio recording with dream vintage Marshall? What could be wrong with that?
