HeliCoils (I use them all the time) are for internal threads, but you could certainly adapt them for external...non standard sized threads.

I make my humbucker mounting bars out of maple, and then use HeliCoils at each end for the height adjust screws.

I'd love to see some pics of this!

Melissa quoted me at $2 per
Shipping form China is also not cheap.

There's very little reason to have adjustable magnets/poles anyway. I'd just use standard rod magnets.

That is bit higher than the price I got, but I'm a returning customer and ordered a bunch of stuff. 50 bucks are standard shipping rates for anything coming to me from outside Europe so thats what I generally consider OK. When the magnets come I can send you a few in a simple padded envelope. But It will take a while to get them here from China...

              22 allen screws.

Yeah, those are pretty much blades.

Has anyone had any communication with sensmag recently?

I have sent 3 emails over the last 10 days requesting info on these threaded mags, and no response.

I got an email from them July 18, from someone named CoCo Zhao, who introduced herself as taking the place of Marilyn. I haven't bought anything from them in a while.

I was in contact with Melissa just ten-twelve days ago. I got the message from Fedex that a package from Sensmag will arrive today.

Thanks Peter. Still no response. Starting to think that my emails are not getting through for some reason.

Anyone want to sell me some A5 threaded mags

I've just put a wanted ad for some threaded rod magnets in the flea market. Unable to get a response from sensmag, numerous emails, tried sending from other email addresses and servers. Been trying for weeks!

There are other ways to move magnets up and down inside a bobbin that don't involve having to lose some of the tip of the magnet to a screw head, too. D'Armond and Hagstrom come to mind.

Or what about casting plastic threads around cylindrical magnets?

I think you will be able to buy the Brooklyn bridge first.

                              Sens-Mag didn't sell Alnico 5 threaded mags. It was FeCrCo2 and FeCrCo5.

Go to post #34, on page one:

These threaded rod magnets is thread 10-32 or 10-24. (all 0.190 Dia) with slot one end and 2 ends dome.

                              Magnet grades are FeCrCo2 ( equal to alnico2) and FeCrCo5(equal to alnico5)

Length can be from 0.40" to 0.800" . now what we are making was:

                              1. FeCrCo2 10-24 thread x 0.420"long
                              2. FeCrCo5 10-32 thread x 0.625"long
                              3. FeCrCo5 1/4-20 thread x 0.705"long ( 1/4-20 was 0.250"dia.)
They don't seem to be on their site any more.

My mistake David, I meant FeCrCo 5. Brooklyn Bridge would look great at my house though!
