I've had a few guitars come my way recently with the owners complaining about pickup noise. Unfortunately it was just normal P-90 60 cycle hum.
So...humbucking P-90s...
I know this isn't a new concept, but I've never had one in my hands. I've seen pics of stacked designes, are they doing 4ishk on each coil or is there something else that can be done to buck the hum?
Ideally I'd want to maintain that signature P-90 tone by keeping the top coil at 8ish-k and somehow keeping the lower coil out of the equation soundwise, but still buck the hum--possible?
