John is right the internet is soo full of BS its unbelieveable what I see people saying particularly when I know the back story- as many of you do. alot of us know each others business quite well- I try to keep my mouth shut as much as possible. I dont typically bother with reading forums anymore with the exception of checking in once in a while so i know which way the BS is leading so i can push the other way.
I called John probably 5 years ago- maybe 7 with questions about the backplate because I was making a set of pickups that were going to be used with it- at the time alot of people were asking about it and I found John to be very helpful - he told me everything I wanted to know and I can tell you from that he is genuine. No BS- straight up. Another company that is a pleasure to have working in the same business.

Beautiful shape. The proportions look very cool. The small body and long neck really have a nice aesthetic groove and the chambering should keep it resonant. Nice! Looking forward to the final reviews."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

I've been pretty busy, but have made some progress on the bass. I did a carve on the top. It's just a slight bevel aound the edge, but it gives it some detail. The hardware's black so I used black binding. I think it's a nice contrast to the wood. The one piece neck worked out well. I'll be doing more of them. I think the next one will be out of walnut.
I'm using Tru-Oil. I've got two weeks 'til her birthday. I think I'll make it.

Very nice! It looks elegant and powerful at once. What is the scale length and finished weight? How does the chambered body sound plugged in?"Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

I've got another guitar in the works already. It'll have a book matched figured maple top over a mahogany body, sapele neck, and a cumara fingerboard.

That's really inviting. You know how it is when you walk up to a row of guitars at a store and look them over as you start the selection process... That's the one I'd pick up."Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo

It would be possible to describe everything scientifically, but it would make no sense; it would be without meaning, as if you described a Beethoven symphony as a variation of wave pressure. — Albert Einstein

I like John H's offset too.
It's much nicer looking than some of the 'new models' I've seen lately - the "throw all the parts we make in a big box, shake it, and sell whatever comes out" ones.
