Thanks Everyone! I'm real happy with the way the bass turned out. I didn't have a design, so I improvised as I went along. It was later on in the process when I decided to extend the neck. The bridge is tall and required a big offset between the neck and body. The long tenon helps put this in proportion. I'm surprised how well it plays on those frets. I hadn't thought about tapping on them until right now. I'll have to check that out. I've got some intermittent continuity gremlins that I have to work out on it yet. The powder coated black bridge is pissing me off. This is only the second bass I've made. I learned a bunch on these first two. It's time to build one for myself.
I'm going to work on it tomorrow. I'll try to get some better pictures.

I'm a bottom feeder and not a guitar player, so maybe skyscraper like pole pieces are OK with the plectrum wielding thin-string crowd.
all the best,

Striking. I like the cosmetics of the unmarked, but bound fingerboard. Very cool. Love the simple control layout. And that slab of wood on the body cap probably only cost as much as a car payment"Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo
