Looks abnormally opaque. I would suspect a protective layer if I saw that. Has anyone tried working to peel it from the edge/corner (the marks in the right upper corner make it look peelable)? Some modern plastic stickers can adhere really well and are quite thin (encountered some on a plastic Xylitol gum container top that I had to look at under magnification to find the edge to peel the labeling sticker off the top--I couldn't do it with a fingernail).

That looks like the shipping protection film is still there. Try picking up a corner and peeling.

Yep, I think I can see the edge of it in the pic. Try warming with a hair dryer or something. No way did they intend it to be like that.

            Extech 380193 serial protocol

Anyone using the the Extech for datalogging over the serial link needs the command/protocol document (~77k) which is sometimes available by request.
Note the 1200 baud, 7 bits, 1 stop, EVEN parity.

Someone should probably write a Python app data logger for this one.

"Det var helt Texas" is written Nowegian meaning "that's totally Texas." When spoken, it means "that's crazy."

Thanks Joe. With great care I managed to get a knife under it and get up enough so that it would not rip when pulled. I could not do it without a tool.

Wow, I can see the screen again. Kind of embarrassing, but I'm glad I asked.

                Thanks all.

                    WTF?

                    Aw Mike, ya serious?

With all the brow-beating posts over these years, and here you are f'n shitting me/us (I hope) that this is just a case of un-removed packing material over your display, that you are just now peeling off?

Brings a whole new level of "understanding" to your posts! but then, in the interest of luv-n-understanding, ...I digress...

Well, shite, at least a redeeming thing, ....many will know what to look for...
